WHAT'S NEW

In the past year the Task Force has partnered with the United Way to expand our Information Hotline. The Hotline now operates Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition, the Information Hotline now provides tenants with referrals to organizations receiving federal funds to provide tenants financial assistance to pay rent arrears. The Hotline also provides referrals to the Bridge Fund, which uses private monies to assist tenants with money towards rent arrears.

We have received additional money, from the NYC Council, to provide assistance and information to unrepresented litigants in the Red Hook and Harlem Community Courts.
